I think the large amounts of undecided are a direct symptom of the corrupt FPTP system. If everyone could vote according to their conscience there wouldn't be so much uncertainty.

I know a lot of people in a safe seat torn between voting for a "lesser evil" challenger who isn't really offering a realistic challenge, and between voting for their conscience since the incumbent's going to stay in anyway. Even in marginals, it can be tricky: do you hold your nose and vote Labour in a Lab/Tory marginal? How can you tell how marginal it is, given how much the ground has changed since 2005, and how inaccurate the polls are? I know Brighton lefties considering voting Labour or Lib Dem because they don't think Lucas stands a chance.
