Well, feanelwa posited a correlation - that the men in her office who believe she's a human being don't rape her (or I suppose we would have to say technically haven't raped her so far). Posited correlation: see feanelwa as human being = don't rape her. Fair enough. It's anecdotal, and it's based on the unsubstantiated assumption that the men she works with don't objectify her (which from the ten years I've spent working with men in offices probably means in practice that they've learned not to talk about the extent to which they objectify her when any women can hear, but that's a different problem), but it's a posited correlation that has been falsely conflated with causation.
