The women in this story are neither queer nor straight: they are just there to provide sexual amusement for men.

Now an objection on those grounds would have made slightly more sense to me. Although as I've said elsewhere, if the story had been genuine then either the girl was already interested, or (more likely) the bet wasn't serious - just like "I bet you a million pounds ...", but possibly even sillier.
