I've just handed in two copies to be bound.

Handing in the PhD thesis was most peculiar. I wandered around town for several hours feeling completely directionless and as light as air.

Yes - it's a sort of sublimation of feeling. An immense, sudden rush of everything dissipating, simultaneous with fear and pride and excitement and relief...

Peculiar. Very.
