My stomach hurts, partly because I'm tender and bloated with menstruation and partly because it doesn't like being full these days. I make a concerted effort to eat because it would be so easy not to, but my gut is invariably displeased. Alzeena made us curry tonight and we ate it on the grass in Trinity Hall, while sunset turned to twilight and the air became soft and scented. It was so hot today.

I have been living in the library recently, ploughing laboriously through Plato's Ion and Lysias 1. Tonight I would begin Hippolytus but I have a Greek prose composition to write. The supervision should have been on Tuesday but I was so immersed in revision panic I completely forgot about it; I hadn't even realised I had any more supervisions. I would like to be doing anything other than work - the days are so beautiful and the sun so bright it's impossible to concentrate. I have ideas to start writing again and I can't wait for the summer.

I made a new layout for this journal (it only works in 1024x768), although I should really have spent the time revising. I should be spending all my time revising; I shouldn't even be on here. I feel guilty when I sleep because it seems like time wasted.

I'm yearning for something, but I'm not sure what.

Muy bueno, bellissima. I think I mixed two different languages there but O well. It's nice. I'm hyper. I like how the word hyper is sort of a prefix. Like Bond. Bond, James Bond. I'm hyper, hyper-sensitive. Except actually I am just madly bouncy in my mind but knackered and ready for bed in every other way.

In other news I have no clue how you do layouts and I'm all Eeeeeeee! and impressed. Also slightly jealous.

I bet you're yearning for summer. It's so disgustingly summery but we're not allowed out properly yet. It makes it much more frustrating than if it were rainy and miserable.

I have now managed to postpone my Rossetti essay to the point where I will be writing it at the wedding in Germany if I'm not careful (& clever, & superhumanly fast...)

Your new layout is very pretty, and wistful.
The lines of your dress are poetic.

I studied Greek for five years, then I stopped when I started University.
It's a precious language: I used to love it but now I am slowly forgetting it...
[The layout is beautiful.]

The Libellum Photoshop Layout Crash Course:

1. find bad picture of self in nice dress and crop so bad part (ie. face) is lacking.

2. desaturate all except dress. adjust brightness and contrast.

3. convert background into duotone bitmap and reintroduce colour with brushes.

4. scribble all over it with a 1 pixel paintbrush and add curly text.

et voila!!

your face isn't bad, don't be silly. that's insulting the people who actually aren't pretty! and wow, a crash course and I still didn't understand a word of it. evidently my forte is not computers. or figuring out how to get those little accent things on an 'e'. or figuring out if the 'e' even needs an accent thing. ooh, tiredness = rambly jodie.
