snowflake on my tongue
Jan. 30th, 2003 06:12 pmOh oh oh! It's snowing!
This week has been one of the hardest of my life, but for some reason it's made the small things even more wonderful. I've been working all day and late every night, I haven't done the Ovid essay that was due in this morning because I've barely caught up on the work I missed last week, I'm absolutely poverty stricken and something very worrying happened yesterday (more when I've been to the doctor's - I don't want to raise false alarms) but - !
Cambridge is breathtakingly beautiful. The sky is the same colour as the ground and the flakes are perfectly large and feathery, sticking to my coat and in my hair. Walking through college just now with everything just glowing in the lamplight, occasional peals of laughter emerging from unseen snowball fights. The air is muffled and I can barely see the other side of the quad; I'm going to go out in a minute and take photographs.
There's something about snow that makes everyone ten again. I love it. I can't stop smiling.
