Oh oh oh! It's snowing!

This week has been one of the hardest of my life, but for some reason it's made the small things even more wonderful. I've been working all day and late every night, I haven't done the Ovid essay that was due in this morning because I've barely caught up on the work I missed last week, I'm absolutely poverty stricken and something very worrying happened yesterday (more when I've been to the doctor's - I don't want to raise false alarms) but - !

Cambridge is breathtakingly beautiful. The sky is the same colour as the ground and the flakes are perfectly large and feathery, sticking to my coat and in my hair. Walking through college just now with everything just glowing in the lamplight, occasional peals of laughter emerging from unseen snowball fights. The air is muffled and I can barely see the other side of the quad; I'm going to go out in a minute and take photographs.

There's something about snow that makes everyone ten again. I love it. I can't stop smiling.

Cambridge avec snow sounds quite breathtaking. I've only seen it by summer though. ♥xo

Strangely enough I never have, not properly. Not since I moved here, anyway, and your mental picture of a place always changes once you've lived there for a while.

I think it's beautiful in every season. Autumn was stunning. Perhaps it's because I've never really seen snow this deep before, but tonight is one of the most wonderful things I've ever seen. Not just because of the sight but because of the atmosphere. Everyone's laughing and running around and not caring about whether they walk on the grass or not, you know? The boys from I staircase made an obscene snowman in the quad - it was the funniest thing I've seen in days.

The snow seems to have missed us around here, unfortunately. We had a few flakes last night, but they had all disappeared by morning into treachorous slush and ice. I want the snow!!

I'm sorry things haven't been too good for you this week. I also hope whatever worrying thing happened yesterday turns out to be something minor.

Fancy a day trip fenwards? I'd post you a snowball, but I think it might melt.

And - thankyou. You're a sweetheart. It's probably nothing, I hope.

That sounds lovely. I haven't seen snow in much too long.

I've never seen snow like this before either - it never normally settles. It's melting already though, unfortunately. Damn global warming.
