London bus
Jan. 9th, 2008 01:37 pmMinimalist little winter painting I did over Christmas. I like the three-tone colour palette and I love the branches of the trees, but I'm less impressed by the bus. It gives the image a focus, though. I'd like to start doing more Thames paintings, not least because this will require me to regularly bimble along the Thames and take photos, which will be good for my soul.

London Bus
Oil on canvas, 8" x 8"
My parents bought this from me when they came round the other day, which was a nice surprise. I'm adding it to the Print List of Doom, though.

on 2008-01-10 03:57 pm (UTC)Umm, I'm not sure actually. As in, yes, I had a photo of a particular bridge to crib from, but now I am not sure which particular bridge it was. Also I may have exaggerated the quantity of snow.
