The person in Manpower this morning told me they'd have no problem in finding me a job for the summer, which is one weight off my mind. To celebrate I bought a red cord skirt and a black and white striped vest top from oxfam, black combats for Student Cross (a necessary evil) and three new pairs of socks. When I told him on the phone Iain asked for some pictures, and it's been so long since I've taken any good ones of myself, I thought I'd put a couple here for the sake of posterity. I don't think you've ever seen me without makeup before.

I'm leaving in about two hours and I won't write in here again until after Easter, although I'll try and keep a notebook during the week. If you want to get in touch (or are just feeling nice) text me: 07734 465 487. x

On the left: The Dark Side. Sitting back, relaxed calm and with a slight hint of 'what are you looking at, mindeless peon?' which comes from the head being slightly tilted forward.

On the right: Helen as I have always seen her. Attractive, feminine with a touch of tomboy, a faint smile suggesting self-assuredness and perhaps amusement,and those eyes that draw you in. One for the collection methinks.

Curiouser and curiouser. Even though they're clear photographs, I still don't really feel that I know what you look like. Don't know why that would be. Are you one of those people that look vastly different depending on what angle you're looked at from?

Perhaps; I think it's more that I have widely varying "looks" depending on what mood I'm in. My strongest feature is definitely my eyes, and I think my appearance probably has a lot to do with how I'm using them. I suppose if you want any clearer an idea, you'll just have to wait until we meet. And I still have absolutely no idea what you look like, you coy thing. x

The eye is definitely recognisable as yours. You really do have extraordinary eyes. I'd seen the "luminous" one before but for some reason it hadn't registered - I suppose it was a little too abstract. From what I can make of them, I like how you look in the January collage, redscarved and in love (I take it that's the illusive mr jones?).
