• 11 600 words. Approximately 8 500 of them actually almost useable. I'm averaging 14 hours' work a day, and it's not going fast enough but considering my deadline that's unsurprising, and although I won't be able to go to the UL as I'd planned tomorrow (I wouldn't have time to write up any of my reading, and am better off editing what I've got) I will actually be able to email something to my supervisor before going to the_lady_lily's celebrations in the evening.



• Also there will be a yiskah, for which much Yay.


• As well as no belongings, I have no food in this house. I'm currently living on: sandwiches made from white bread and salt 'n' vinegar crisps, bananas, and tea.


• Mainly this entry is an excuse to show off my new icon. What's the matter lagerboy, scared you might TASTE SOMETHING?


• Man, when this thing is handed in, I'm having a really big drink.

Last hardcore real beer festival I went to, you could rent your own real glass. But there weren't any beardy music-playing types to throw said real glasses at, so maybe it doesn't count.

why waste real beer throwing it at beardy music types? that's what they grow the beards for, you know. Catching flying ale on your face while continuing to play the mandolin is a highly-prized skill among such people.

ah; it was intended as "wry". The implications being:

1) on Monday nights it's the RockSoc committee meeting in the Pickerel
2) I'm a member of the RockSoc committee
3) they're my friends and it seems a shame to miss a compulsory drinking occasion on the night of my thesis submission
4) you're more than welcome to join us
     4a. although I understand if it's not your scene.
